The Middlesex County Bar Association (MCBA) sponsors a Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) from its offices in Woburn, Massachusetts. This community based non-profit service is designed to help individuals who can afford reasonable attorney fees but need help finding a qualified attorney.
The Lawyer Referral Service maintains a list of local attorneys who are pre-screened to represent clients in several diverse subject areas of the law. The subject areas include, but are not limited to, the following: criminal defense, family law, child custody, divorce, personal injury, auto accidents, employment, wills and trusts, or real estate law.
When you call the service, the trained staff will ask you a few questions about your case to determine the needed subject area. When appropriate, the service will provide you with a referral to three attorneys.
Each attorney has agreed to provide a consultation to discuss the case and the attorney fees needed for additional representation. The attorneys in Middlesex County have agreed to charge no more than $25 for the initial consultation. During the consultation, you can discuss the case with the attorney and the attorney fees needed for additional representation.
