The Lawyer Referral and Information Service managed by the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) is approved by the Florida Bar. When the contact the service you will be asked to explain your concern. A trained staff member will help match you with an experienced attorney qualified to handle that kind of case.
To receive the referral, you must pay the OCBA a $50, non-refundable administrative fee. The service accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. The service does not take walk-in clients.
The office of the Lawyer Referral and Information Service of the Orange County Bar Association is opened from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The service refers people to private attorneys. The service does not provide referrals to pro bono or free attorneys.
Contact Information:
After you contact the service, you will then be referred to a local attorney experienced in the needed practice area of the law. You will be given the name and phone number of the attorney. You will then contact that attorney to set up the initial 30-minute consolation at no additional charge.
During the consultation, you can discuss your legal problem with the attorney. You can also talk with the attorney about the additional attorney fees needed for additional representation.
The OCBA attorneys who accept referrals from the OCBA's Lawyer Referral & Information Service pay to participate in this service and agree to abide by the rules of the program. The attorneys are screened to ensure thy are in good standing with the Florida Bar and maintain liability insurance.
