Federal Courts in Riverside County, CA

United States District Court - Central District of California - Active members who are in good standing of the Bar of California can apply for admission to the Bar of the United States District Court Central District of California. There are twenty-eight (28) judicial positions in the Court. It serves people in southern and central California. The United States District Court Central District of California is one of ninety-four (94) United States District Courts. Additionally, the court has original jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases that fall under federal law.

United States District Court - Eastern District of California - The Eastern District of California was formed on September 18, 1966. It is part of the Ninth Federal Circuit, and it expands north to south from the Oregon border to the Tehachapis and from west to east from the Coastal Range to the Nevada border. The district's headquarters is at the Sacramento Courthouse Office. They strive to provide "public safety and the fair administration of justice through professional and progressive" actions.

United States District Court - Northern District of California - On September 28, 1850, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California was established. The court obtained its first courthouse five years later. Before the establishment of the United District Courts for the Eastern and Central Districts of California, the court had influence in the Central Valley and the eastern mountainous regions of the state. Currently, the court encompasses fifteen (15) counties, it has four (4) courthouses, fourteen (14) district judgeships, and twelve (12) magistrate judgeships.

United States District Court - Southern District of California - The Southern District Court encompasses the counties of Imperial and San Diego. The court is one of four (4) federal district courts in California. There are thirteen (13) judicial positions, the district has three courthouses in San Diego and one in El Centro.
