The Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (TACDL) was formed in 1973 to provide a unified and credible voice for those who defend people accused of criminal offenses. Today, the organization has more than 800 members engaged in defending those accused of crimes in state and federal court throughout Tennessee.
TACDL sponsors more than 80 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars each year for Tennessee criminal defense lawyers. The organization employs a lobbyist to advocate for the positions of the organizations in front of the Tennessee legislature.
As an affiliate member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the TACDL provides training, education and networking opportunties to its members.
