The Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (CCDLA) was founded in 1988. Headquartered in Waterbury, Connecticut, the CCDLA is the only statewide criminal defense lawyers’ organization in the state of Connecticut. The CCDLA is dedicated to to defending persons accused of criminal and motor vehicle offenses.
The CCDLA reviews legislature revelant to the criminal defense practice and confirmation process for the judiciary. A not-for-profit organization, the CCDLA maintains funding through sources championed by its members. Its listserv brings together a community of lawyers exchanging research, pleadings, and other resources for the betterment of criminal defense cases.
CCDLA's membership includes more than 350 criminal defense attorneys in Connecticut including both private practices and the public defender's offices throughout the state of Connecticut.

As an affiliate member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, CCDLA works to improve the criminal justice system by insuring that the individual rights guaranteed by the Connecticut Constitution and the United States Constitution are applied fairly and equally and that those rights are not diminished.
