LabCorp v. Davis: AAJ Statement & Amicus Brief
WASHINGTON, DC— Statement from American Association for Justice (AAJ) President Lori Andrus on the recent amicus brief filing in LabCorp v. Davis:
"LabCorp—and the corporate bar at-large—are seeking to undermine the class action system so they can continue to nickel-and-dime Americans. Petitioners have a novel constitutional theory that would disrupt many areas of law that allow workers, consumers, military service members, investors, and businesses to band together and collectively pursue justice. That's why no federal court has adopted it. We believe the U.S. Supreme Court should reject their arguments.
"I thank the AARP, the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC), Public Justice, the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), Impact Fund, and Disability Rights Advocates (DRA) for joining us on this important brief."
