AAJ Statement on Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Washington, DC — The following is a statement from American Association for Justice CEO Linda Lipsen on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement that she is stepping down from her leadership role:
" Speaker Nancy Pelosi is one of the most influential, consequential and effective leaders our nation has ever had. As we reflect on her career spent serving the American people, we thank her for not only her long record of accomplishments but also for the manner in which she led: with vision, strength and unending optimism.
As a civil justice champion, she is incomparable. We could not ask for a better partner in protecting and expanding the legal right of consumers, workers and patients than Speaker Pelosi. Time and again she found a way to lift up endeavors to create a more just country and deflect efforts to block access to the courthouse doors. Thank you, Madam Speaker."
